Summary/Abstract: Generally, energy security notion which discussed the basis on supply today very important and issue has become global scale. Not equally distributed to the global geography of energy resources, increasing energy global consumption, diplomatic sanctions tool to be used as a weapon of dependence on imports of energy resources were caused to allowing the energy struggle to move beyond the regional conflict and the transformation into a global security issue. Energy security problem is very important threat in that point. All states such as Turkey gives utmost importance to energy security, inadequate in terms of energy supply, increased consumption and increasing dependence on insecure suppliers like Iran, Russian Federation are effective at this point. Iran cut natural gas in winter; Russian Federastion uses energy in all foreign policy moves as seen in the example of the Ukraine, European Union and Estonia. This example is an important experience for Turkey and possible in the same move after the “plane crisis” with Russia because of this Turkey preparing itself for high possibility. Accelerating the TANAP project are at the forefront of such moves, but qualification is still controversial.
