The risk of old age as the component of constructing the pension systems in the European Union

Summary/Abstract: The paper consists of an introduction, two chapters and conclusions. Social risks assured in the frames of the systems of national insurance schemes are characterized in the introduction. The age as the basic determinant of pension systems construction in the European Union countries is presented in the first chapter. The second chapter contains the profile of construction of pension systems in Europe. Conclusions from the present report are at the end of the paper.
