Summary/Abstract: An aim of considerations is to present differences in on-line customers’ behaviours and the development of marketing communication on the Internet. In her study, the author referred to findings of Internet surfers’ surveys carried out in Poland and in other European countries. She brought closer in it the most characteristic traits and behaviours of Internet users. Besides that, she showed in the article the essence of the inbound marketing approach in creating valuable contents from the point of view of their recipients. She also characterised in it the modus operandi of the so-called systems of automatic marketing and brought closer the possibilities they provide for the owners of Internet websites cooperating with them. The work also contains case studies showing the examples of implemented integrated campaigns of marketing communication on the Internet.
