Understanding Travel Park Resistance with Social Movement-Anarchism Connection

Summary/Abstract: The main of the study is to analyze Gezi Parki resistance in a framework of the thesis that there is a relation between new social movements and anarchism. In order to this aim, the closure of anarchism to the action rather than theory and its connection with the movements will be underlined. The basic points that help rethink the connection between movements and anarchism are the direct actions of the ordinary people, demands of autonomy and to be owner of their own lifes. Gezi Parki resistance is an unique and extra-ordinary experiment in Turkish social struggles. It indicates the changes of the social movements towards to anarchist tendency in global level, and it is a reflection of this changing in Turkey.
