Summary/Abstract: The theory telling that in order to prevent the possible future crises and instabilities in countries and fully benefit from the liberalisation, the liberalisation should be conducted gradually, not rapidly and simultaneously, through an order including both internal-external and sectoral bases (real-financial) refers to the “sequencing of full liberalisation”. In this paper, whether the sequencing of the liberalisation policies that were started to be implemented in Turkey in the 1980s is appropriate in terms of the sequencing literature, which is widely accepted, is tried to be shown by comparing the policies and implementations. For this, after the examining of the liberalisation policies implemented in Turkey, both their classification will be done in terms of internal and external bases and they will be put in a time order by evaluating them in terms of the dates on which they were conducted and eventually, by comparing such sequencing with the existing sequencing in the literature its evaluation will be done.
