Summary/Abstract: Given the circumstances of the fast organizational changes, with influences upon the practice of social work, we are required to elaborate efficient models of supervison for social workers, taking account of the continuity of efficiency. The development and consolidation of the professional competence of the social workers through supervision contributes to the quality of the social services. It is necessary for this profession with a remarkable theoretical and practical dynamic. The supervision reunites various activities through a systematical approach. The professional training in the context of work and the professional development can be dealt with together in the supervision programmes. The supervision in the field of social work has a practical application. The article deals the formative aspect of supervision.
