Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research is building up a concept in Bulgarian legislation during the period of 1878–1912 concerning the immigration policy. The major conclusion of the analysis made is that during the researched period, the Bulgarian lawmakers still lack consistency in the implementation of this policy as a factor concerning the demographic development of the country.
