Summary/Abstract: Candidates who registered to engineering faculty and have graduated after their education usually are faced with various problems resulted from misconception about University education. Due to being misguided by others, candidates assume that university and vocational school are identical and keep their expectations in line with this assumption. As a result many candidates end up choosing a department just to get a profession rather than attending a higher education. In order to avoid them is conception of getting engineering ingenuity and having university education, both should be split from each other with clear line. The chain of university entrance exam – education – diploma has been examined in the frame of expectations of fresh graduates and, in this sense, it is appear that engineering candidates need continuous counseling especially in their freshman year
