Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the power of rape, a kind of sexual and gendered violence and how it creates nationalities and unites its members. According to this framework, the first section points gendered images of national discourses and its power on creating “others”. By underlines how this process transforms women bodies to a weapon of war physically and theoretically The second section draws attention to the potential of these images in Rwanda,Yugoslavia and Syria. In the last section the gendered power and meaning of rape in a changing war rhetoric are emphasized.
