Summary/Abstract: Late 70-ties in the Soviet Union. A taxi driver was making more than an engineer and a person with higher education had no chance to find a better paid job as a worker. For Leonid Leshchinsky a lobby bar at Moscow hotel National became the last refuge from the grey Soviet reality. His short stories in a soft lyrical manner depict subtle details of the absurdity of those days.
