Tourism Potential Of Turkic Council Member States

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to propose policy recommendations with regard to achieving the Turkic Council goals through tourism that is accepted as soft power within foreign policy. To this end, the paper is developed in 3 axis: First of all, a brief information regarding the Turkic Council is provided. Secondly, both the economic indicators and the tourism flows of Turkic Council Member States are presented. Finally, policy recommendations are developed in view of increasing the tourism activities among Turkic Council Member States and realizing the Council goals. Based on literature survey, this paper proposes that a Turkic Council Tourism Organization is established and specific measures for accelerating tourism flows among member states are taken.
