Summary/Abstract: The principles governing the ethical doctrines and phrases are a set of those general rules and common principles on the basis of which alone, the ethics accepted by the Islamic philosophy can be interpreted. These are a group of established laws which help the virtuous habits attain their lawfulness with reference to such rules and regulations. From the viewpoint of prominent ancient philosophers, all the virtues have their roots in “Justice”, but from the viewpoint of Islamic Philosophy, apart from justice, the principles governing the ethical virtues can be generalized by elements such as “Truth”, “Continuity”, “Beauty”, “Welfare” and “Interest”. No virtue can contradict these principles.
