Summary/Abstract: When observing companies listed on stock exchanges, it can be noticed that the gap between a company’s book value (BV) and its market value (MV) is often significant. The fact that investors are willing to pay more for companies’ assets is often explained using the concept of corporate reputation – an intangible additional asset of a company, which is worth to paying for.
