Summary/Abstract: Contemporarily, the region (territory) is a specific form of economic organization,reducing uncertainty and risk of entities. It is interpreted as a place of creation of specificforms of coordination of entities’ behaviors, as well as of building innovative capacity ofthe economy.Article defines the relationships and interrelations existing between the territory andthe enterprise. It identifies territorial conditions of building businesses’ competitiveness.It also points the key postulates for regional policy in the field of building supportiveentrepreneurship and innovation “milieu” for SMEs.
