Two Tales and Samples for Patrioticization of Land from the Erciyes Environs

Summary/Abstract: Legends, tales and epics are the literary types, which includes the folk etymology examples mostly. In this article, the folk etymology patterns in two tales which have been compiled from the Erciyes environs were noticed from the aspect of that those reflecting the perception of "how the territory becomes the country/fatherland" in public imagination. These two tales have been compiled from Kayseri region in 1980's hasn't been published yet. They are fertile for folk literature because of the motifs they include however fertile for history researches because of the historic events they include. In each tales, there are folk etymology patterns interpreting and disclosing some person and place names. In order to provide material for researchers, bath tales are completely presented in these articles.
