Summary/Abstract: Bank’s liquidity is based on the possession of liquidity assets and the possibility of getting them at the financial market. Bank’s liquidity means its capability of settling obligations that have become due according to acceptable market-prices. The problem emerges when a bank has a lack of liquidity reserves. In dealing with this problem, banks use one of three existing strategies in liquidity management: managing assets liquidity, managing liabilities liquidity and managing harmonized liquidity.
