Prison patients were rarely sent to the General hospital of Bjelovar, mostly for surgical treatments, about which the information on twelve prisoners of war was found, eight Germans and four Croats. Protocols of received, treated and deceased patients with the information on the cause of death and place of burial for the most prisoners of the prison camp in Bjelovar are not currently available, and this paper represents the first mention of the existence of prison hospital in Bjelovar in the aftermath of World War II.
