Summary/Abstract: This article analyses the principles, practices and advantages of entrepreneurship and how it can be used as a catalyst strategy for effective and efficient service delivery in the public service as a key factor for socio-economic development. Through an exploratory research methodology consisting of a literature review on entrepreneurship, the article hypothesises that entrepreneurship is one of the best ways of resolving the service delivery dilemmas thus transforming the public sector into a pool of competitive and productive enterprises that facilitate socio-economic development the same way it motivates productivity and success in the private sector.
