Summary/Abstract: This article presents the acts of terror in Poland which are part of the modus operandi of the “lone wolf” preparing a bomb attack, with the use of an improvised explosive device designed for the purpose of a terrorist attack, prepared ad hoc or with pre-made components, including incendiary and explosive devices or a special cargo. A bomb can be any object previously camouflaged by the perpetrator, as well as a liquid substance and crystalline. The year of 1990 can be considered the beginning of modern terror bombing in Poland, when the homespun explosives exploded in three points Gdansk. In the years 1990–2004 on the Polish territory there occurred 1371 acts of terrorism with criminal use of explosives, but in the recent years the trend has been a declining phenomenon.
