Implementation of an ERP-class Information System in Micro and Small Enterprises (Case Study)

Summary/Abstract: This article studies the implementation of an ERP-class information system in threecompanies from the group of micro and small enterprises. In the first part the paper presentstheoretical aspects of an ERP-class system and its position in comparison with other informationsystems in a company. Methodological aspects regarding leveraging of a use case for thestudy of the implementation process are also discussed. In the second part the article presentsthree studies showing motivations for implementing an ERP system, the results achievedthrough the implementation, main problems encountered in the implementation process andways to resolve them.
