Summary/Abstract: In the German academic historical and artistic reflection, the issue of entanglement of art and architecture in building the official image of the Third Reich has already been thoroughly researched. Nonetheless, the private space of the people in power remained peripheral, which stemmed from an erroneous belief that it was not connected with politics and ideology. Meanwhile, an excellent study of an American historian of architecture, Despina Stratigakos, Hitler at Home, presents the author’s interpretation of the architecture of Führer’s apartments and, by analysing the information regarding the equipment and the ways employed to disseminate said information, shows the reader how great and strategically calculated project Hilter’s private life was.
