Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to assess the scale of the use of bank loans to finance investment activities of enterprises in Poland, and to check whether it is possible to assume, that in comparison to the own resources, this is a more popular source of financing. The analyzes also focused on the overall size of the investment companies and Polish value relations in this area in all the provinces. Multivariate tests indicated the data were also to indicate further directions which may be an interesting trend in the area of analysis of business activity in Poland. Accepting the simplifying assumptions also forced availability of data in this area – to investigate the scale of both of these ways of financing used a category of its own resources – as internal financing and bank loans – as external financing. Data taken for the study came from the Office of the Local Data, carried by the Central Statistical Office.
