Summary/Abstract: In this article, we conduct a diachronic study of the Spanish verb, from its Latin origin to present Spanish, taking into account losses, as well as highlighting new creations in the verbal paradigm. We will analyze the development and documentation of the verb chronologically, focusing on the following texts: first, in fifth century, Latin documents from the Iberian Peninsula, then, in early Romance annotations, in Alfonsi and Postalfonsis texts, and finally, in the classical Spanish writings in which the verb essentially appears similar the verb we have today.
