Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the leading theories of education content structuring and determines the present day tendencies in education curriculum development. The historic nature of the content of education is asserted. The philosophical and pedagogical approaches providing for the development of theories of education content structuring are considered. Some specific features of education content development in teaching foreign languages on the basis of different theories of education content structuring are singled out.
