Summary/Abstract: Gestures are part of paraverbal language as means of communication between people. This type of language is based on a code that, if the interlocutors do not know it, can make communication difficult. In our article, we will compare the Italian gestures, one of the most complex, with the Romanian gestures, trying to find equivalences and highlight their peculiarities.
