Summary/Abstract: In the text “Ravnodušnost ili bijeg” (Indifference or Flight), published in Vjesnik on October 30, 1996, I wrote about the literary generation of the nineties and mentioned two groups of poets who I thought were sharing some dominant procedures. The first group I called the film-makers and included Dragan Jurak, Robert Perišić, Damir Radić and Zvjezdana Bubnjar. I pointed out that they were not only using film making procedures, quotes and mythologems, abundant in Quorum poetry of the eighties, “but also paraphrases, reinterpretations and downloading of their own experiences and world visions into film plots and clichés which have become general knowledge of the modern culture”. They sang of hanging horse thieves, of bounty hunters, the psychopath who shoots people from a skyscraper in Austin... “attempting to decliché those worn-out matrices by transferring them to another medium and humanize them again”.
