The Dwelling Supply And The Economics Health – An Attempt Of An Empirical Analysis

Summary/Abstract: Literature concerning real estate cycles suggest their connections with the business cycles. Becauseof this, an attempt has been taken to verify the suitability of the data on dwelling supply in businesscycle research. The methodology of the research is based on the findings concerning the correlation betweendynamics indexes of dwelling supply and the industrial production index, as well as the correlation betweentheir breakpoints. The result of the research shows that the supply on the real estate market can be a predictorof business cycles. It also provides a basis for the incorporation of the role of real estate market into futurebusiness cycle researches.
