Summary/Abstract: Transition is a process that has affected and still affects all segments of work and life in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Transition processes have also had a significant influence on archival profession. Therefore, the paper will talk about changes made to the current records of educational institutions in Tuzla Canton. The research will focus on the period 2004–2017, respectively, including the overview of the situation with a comparative examination of the past and present situation. The paper will present the state in the field of protection and arrangement of registry materials at three levels of education: elementary, secondary and high education. Also, the paper will discuss the mode of action and the role of the Archive of Tuzla Canton on improving work of the education institutions.
