INTERNATIONAL IMPORTANCE OF THE PROJECT “ARCHIVAL PRACTICE”

Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the significance of the project “Archival Practice”, its international component, which was examined in the establishment of international archival cooperation with numerous archival institutions, services and archival experts. Through the contents of the project “Archival Practice” for 30 years, archival knowledge and skills are interwoven at the international level, with the aim of promoting and improving archival theory and practice. Hundreds of participants in the consultations and published works in the journal “Archive Practice” confirm the international character and significance of this project. This has had an impact not only on the successful implementation of the “Archives Practice” project, but also on the overall development of the archival service of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the surrounding countries. Thanks to the participation of a significant number of top archivists from the countries of the region and other European countries, the content of the project has been significantly enhanced, especially due to the fact that the archivists from the “side” opened some of the current expert issues, which helped archivists from Bosnia and Herzegovina expand their professional aspects And grab a step with the archival knowledge of the countries of the developed world. Additionally, colleagues from several European countries made a significant contribution to the creation of the project “Archive Practice”, participation in the Editorial Board and the Organizing Committee of the project. These were important bridges of cooperation, which contributed to the modernization of archival knowledge through the project “Archival Practice”.
