THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BRIDGE WITH STATUES ON THE RIVER JALA

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the construction of a concrete bridge with statues in the thirties of the last century. The efforts of the mayor to make something simple and monumental in the city were achieved. The bridge is still very beautiful and functional today. In this paper, we present data on City Council sessions, bridge construction and difficulties after bridge completion, as well as shift of city captains. This work is devoted to the eighteenth anniversary of the statue’s bridge construction. The author wished to leave a written account of the construction of the bridge with statues, since no work has been written so far, just for some review in the newspaper or some local level publication. None of them didn’t use archival material but the memories of the citizens.
