Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the poetics of the short story in fiction of Zdravka Evtimova, one of the most talented storytellers in contemporary Bulgarian literature. It is briefly traced the path of forming the narrative style of the writer through experiments in the art of narration of the socio-realistic motivated conflicts to the connotation of the word and the emergence of stories-parables and stories-dystopia in fiction.
