Summary/Abstract: Ten years after the Great Union, because of the frequent revisionist attacks from Europe, the Romanian State activated a historical propaganda, based on historians, in order to persuade western politicians of the rightness of the Romanian cause in favour of the inter-war borders. Historian Alexandru Boldur concluded a partnership with the Directorate for Press and Information for editing books and brochures supporting the Romanian perspective regarding Bessarabia and refuting the position of the Soviet historiography. The project, although it looked good on paper, resorting to books, international investigations and political personalities from the West, reeled off with difficulty due to the financial problems of the Romanian State and, consequently, it had a fairly reduced efficiency.
