Summary/Abstract: The new laws regulating the election of councilors of communal and district assemblies, and of deputies to republican assemblies and the Federal Assembly are based on principles specified explicitly in the Constitution or stemming from its fundamental provisions regarding the structure of assemblies of socio-political communities, the position of Man and of the Citizen, and the role of the commune in the socio-political system.
