SCHOOLING OF PHYSICAL TRAINING TEACHERS (IN YUGOSLAVIA FROM 1957-1962)

Summary/Abstract: Yugoslav physical training teachers are trained in secondary physical training schools, departments for physical training at teachers’ training colleges and academies, and in senior colleges for physical culture. In the school year 1962/63, there were altogether 24 such schools (as compared with 14 in 1957/58) with a total of 2,587 pupils and students (as against 1,355 in 1957/58). In the period 1957—1962 alone, 2,035 new physical training teachers graduated from these schools.
