Summary/Abstract: Viewing pornography as media engended bodily involvement, the article researches the features of the technically mediated sex. The article analyzes how to interpret the changes in the perception of different aspects of sexuality – pleasure, phantasy and rebellion. It is asserted that pornography serves as a catalogue of sexual activity and visualizes the desire for personal relationship and freedom as well as for dissatisfaction, hatred and disappointment. The tendency of the pleasure and the phantasy to “retire into oneself” and “mirror effect”, which were highlighted in the research, is linked with pornography’s commodification aspect rather that with technical mediation. The turn of the pleasure and phantasy „towards self“ expresses the discord with realities of life and may be interpreted as the rebellion of contemporary person and response to the alienation experienced in the society.
