Summary/Abstract: In the last few years receipts in foreign currency on account of invisible items of trade and current transfers with the rest of the world have become increasingly significant in Yugoslavia's balance of payments. In 1967, these receipts totaled about 640 million dollars while expenditure on the same account amounted to close on 210 million, so that the gross foreign exchange turnover from these operations accounted for almost one fourth of the total foreign exchange receipts and expenditure making up the country's balance of payments. During the last six years alone, the surplus of receipts over expenditure increased almost four times reaching, in 1967, a sum of over 430 million dollars. (Table I).
