RESOLUTION ON “THE IDEOLOGICAL-POLITICAL FOUNDATIONS FOR THE FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF THE LEAGUE OF COMMUNISTS OF YUGOSLAVIA”

Summary/Abstract: For two decades now, the League of Communists has been following the difficult road of revolutionary struggle for a more developed and freer socialist society based on self-management. During this period, a broad movement of self-management has been created, which already acts in the fold of society as a valuable achievement, as a mainstay of progress. At the same time, this has been a period of profound transformations in the League of Communists. Initiated at the Sixth Congress, these transformations were given impulse and a new quality by the Program of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia, the socio-economic reform, and the Fourth Session of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia. The time has come to sum up the knowledge we have acquired, to generalize the results of practice, and clearly to map out the ideological-political foundations for the further development of the LCY. It is also time for us to face squarely and uncompromisingly those tendencies which distort the role and ideology of the League, to define the obstacles, the wrong turns, along our way.
