Summary/Abstract: As a result of the rapid development of industry and agriculture and a rise in the standard of living, production in the chemical industry has been expanded, the range of articles widened, and the quality of products improved. Making increasing use of the latest technical and technological achievements, the chemical industry has begun rapidly to switch to petrochemical raw materials (natural gas, petroleum derivatives), while continuing to expand production based on classical raw materials (metallurgical gases, metal sulphides, table salt, cellulose, etc.).
