THE DETERMINANTS OF THESAURIZATION OF HOUSEHOLDS IN CONGO-BRAZZAVILLE

Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the determinants of household hoarding in Congo-Brazzaville. It is based on the field survey conducted in Brazzaville in 2016. The results of the estimates show that the probability of hoarding households is explained by certain characteristics such as the sector of activity (private and informal) and belonging sexual. Moreover, this hoarding can also be explained by the reasons: war, interest rates, household habits, the unexpected closures of certain banks and the conditions of access of households to loans. These results have led to some suggestions of economic policy in Congo-Brazzaville.
