PENSION RECIPIENTS (IN YUGOSLAVIA)

Summary/Abstract: In 1968, Republican Social Security Office made an analysis of pension recipients on the basis of their records. The analysis covered about 95 per cent of the total number of recipients of pension benefits in Yugoslavia. A separate analysis was made of pensioners by kind of pension benefits (old-age, disability, survivors) because of different eligibility requirements, even though the pension base, which is in fact decisive for the amount of pension benefits, is determined more or less in the same way in all cases. Since under the present old-age and disability insurance schemes eligibility requirements for individual categories of the insured differ, pension recipients are considered here according to “categories of beneficiaries” .
