Summary/Abstract: The current article presents a pedagogical experiment that was tried out with fifth grade students to ascertain their state of knowledge and skills about using the adjective as a part of speech and the sentence. It submits for consideration the target, the goal and the instruments used for the research as well as an empirical data analysis. It also presents the summary of conclusions that have been made with regard to developing the native speech and reaching the syllabus standards by the fifth grade students during Bulgarian language classes.
