Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to outline some basic manifestations of nonverbal communication in public appearances of some politicians in Bulgaria and the United States, situated in the field of manipulation as a communication process. Without going into the zone of banality, the article developed from the basic concepts of communication, communication process and manipulation. In this sense, it is refined and interpretation of verbal and nonverbal communication, for purposes of this text focuses on the second. The main question raised in the article is that of potential manipulative influence of nonverbal communication. Displayed a deduction that recipient who has mastered his body language transmits the message to the audience more successfully the intended ideas de facto secretly, hidden, where it may be inferred that in such cases mention the obvious possibility of manipulation in the process of communication. In this context, it proves that advanced manifestations of nonverbal communication can be successfully included in the manipulation tool of politician to exercise direct influence on its audience.
