Social networking rethoric – communication models, discourses and performativity in the political context “thrall-coevality”

Summary/Abstract: Reification is viewed in media context as a mode of coverage distancing from the reality. The research attempts to throw insights over the double function of reification: 1/ falsehood representation due to effect of institutionalizing the news, still keeping it far from the personal aspect; 2/ maintaining neutrality discourse but actually entering the mode of pseudo-out-of-subjectivity. Further, following the Habermas’s concept of deliberation, the FB communication is presented as a channel for News Personification, and deliberative practice. Conversative commentaries, thread organization of small group debates and fragmenting the media news ,the processes of personifying the public discourses are observed. The analysis follows the specific legitimation of FB modes such as interpersonal performativity and invariant communication. The topicality of Fb debate is organized around the spontaneous campaign “Thrall or Coevality”, where the existing discourses are featured.
