Summary/Abstract: The phenomenon of visualization and its expression in entertainment is considered in this article. Three interpretations of visualization are analyzed from different perspectives – biological, psychological, sociological. The major entertainment functions (recreative, cognitive, educational, representative) in visualization are discussed. On the one hand, visualization helps to understand the essence of expression better and makes it more available and attractive. On the other hand, efforts to visualize the thing in order to recognize it easier involve the danger of distortion. In this way, visualization becomes the effective tool to control a human’s emotions and brain in the entertainment field too. The effectiveness of its application depends on the individual’s ability to value and accept it critically. The training of critical thinking is required for this.
