Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the original theory of color which developed in the Bauhaus school of design and which is a unique example of multifaceted sharing. Because of its synthetic nature, this theory of color could be approached from philosophical, aesthetic, cultural, ethic, axiolgical points of view, as well as others. The author discusses the impact of the best well known representatives of this school on the history of design and on the analysis of the phenomenon of color. The article contains an in depth analysis of the paradoxical sharing of different conceptual approaches which took place at Bauhaus. The intertwining of different aesthetic programs and innovative exchange of theoretical and practical ideas took place in the common workshops
