Summary/Abstract: Up to 1950, i.e. in the period of administrative management of the economy, working capital (obrtna sredstva) was supplied through credit plans worked out on the basis of production and financial plans of individual enterprises. In extending credits for working capital to individual enterprises the guiding criterion was their output targets in terms of value, divided by the turnover coefficient, less the amount of their working capital. Credit plans were laid down by the financial departments of the people’s committees and by ministries of finance. Banks were only in charge of the credit service and did not exercise any influence on the kind and amount of credits.
