Summary/Abstract: Human resources management consists of a number of activities performed by senior managerial staff related to civil servants employed in public administration. In particular, this relates to strategic planning, recruitment, training, performance management, and remuneration of staff, as well as creating and maintaining sustainable, stable, integrity based and fair working environment for all employees. This paper provides a brief overview and analysis of basic aspects in the processes of human resources management, specifically the strategic planning function and organizational concept of human resources management in public administration in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and possible developments, de lege ferenda, as well.
