Summary/Abstract: The paper presents consequences of the United Kingdom entry to the European Communities for political, economical and social situation of the British dependent territories in Europe: Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Gibraltar and the British Sovereign Bases on Cyprus. Because of unusual regulations of an Accession Treaty concerning the British Crown dependencies there were secured very good conditions of economical development of Isle of Man and Channel Islands as a free tariff areas. But the situation of Gibraltar and military bases on Cyprus were completely dependent of their relationships between its neighbours (i.e. Republic of Cyprus and Spain) and the European Communities. Especially position of Gibraltar as a part of EEC tariff area was incoherent with any political possibilities. Despite of these disadvantages the most of citizens of all British dependent territories in Europe were satisfied of their relations with the European Communities. In their opinion autonomic position in Common Market could have great influence for growing of autonomy in internal relations with the United Kingdom.
