Hydrological Planning in the European Union Member States after the Water Framework Directive

Summary/Abstract: Synthesis on the situation of the hydrological planning after the Water Framework Directive in 11 members states of the European Union. There are exposed the state processes of incorporation of the Directive and his requirements, the area of the hydrological plans, the administrative authorities responsible for the hydrographic districts, the procedures of production and approval of the hydrological plans, his contents, as well as finally the value and the effects of the above mentioned plans and the modalities of jurisdictional control on the same ones.
