Economic and legal aspects of irregularities in the functioning of the newconnect market. Assessment and suggestions for changes

Summary/Abstract: The article presents statistics showing the development of the NewConnect market and its comparison with other multilateral trading facilities in Europe. The goal of the article is to define factors which inhibit the NC development and have influence on the negative perception of the market by investors. In this context the assessment of market regulations introduced in recent months by the organizer will be conducted as well. The conclusions from the analyses are to indicate necessary regulative actions which should be undertaken to improve its functioning. The article is a part of more extensive research which aim is to emphasize irregularities in the functioning of the Polish capital market, including the New- Connect market.
